# Work with a selection

> Select several captures, then pin, file, tag, stack, copy or delete them together.

## Select captures

On Mac:

1. `⌘`-click captures to add or remove them, or `Shift`-click to select a range.
2. Or drag a box from empty space, or press `⌘A` to select everything in view.
3. Arrow keys move the selection. `Shift`-arrows extend it.
4. Press `Esc` or click empty space to clear.

On iPhone and iPad:

1. Long-press a capture and tap **Select**.
2. Tap others to add them. **Select all** is at the top.
3. Tap **Done** to finish.

## Act on them

On Mac:

1. With two or more selected, use the bar at the foot of the library: **Pin selected**, **Add to space**, **Edit tags**, **Copy** and **Trash**.
2. For more, click the count, such as **3 selected**. **Create stack** and **Invert selection** are there. You can also right-click a selected capture.

On iPhone and iPad:

1. Tap **Pin**, **Space**, **Tag** or **Stack** on the bulk bar.
2. Tap **More** for the rest, including **Delete**. Delete asks first and moves them to the Trash for 30 days.

On Mac, a single selected capture shows no bar. Use its right-click menu, the inspector or the keys.

## Keys on Mac

- `P` pins or unpins.
- `S` adds to a space.
- `T` edits tags.
- `L` opens **Remind…** See [Later and reminders](https://resurf.so/guides/later).
- `C` or `⌘C` copies.
- `Delete` or `⌘⌫` moves them to the Trash. `⌘Z` undoes it.

Letter keys act on the selected captures, not the card under the pointer. Select first.

## Questions

### I pressed P with the pointer over a card and nothing happened.

Select the card first. On Mac, letter keys act on the selection, not the card under the pointer.

### How do I select everything but a few?

Select those few, then choose Invert selection from the count menu on the selection bar.

### Where is Create stack?

On Mac, in the count menu on the selection bar, or the right-click menu. On iPhone and iPad, tap Stack on the bulk bar.
