Resurf or Anybox? Both are native. They are built for different libraries

It also works with tools such as Alfred, Raycast, PopClip and Hook. Once links are inside, Anybox offers nested tags, folders, smart lists, pinned and starred views, Quick Open and system-wide Quick Find. Save All Tabs is useful when a browsing session needs to become a collection. Links can be archived as a PDF, WebArchive or screenshot.

That focus is valuable. If you want a quick way to save and reopen links on Apple devices, a larger capture system may add more than you need.

One capture can belong to more than one Space. The difference becomes clearer in search: Resurf indexes article text, PDF text, words found in images and screenshots, voice transcripts, notes, comments, tags, Spaces, URLs and file metadata. Anybox is fast when you remember the title, URL, tag, folder or another bookmark attribute, and its official documentation does not establish comparable OCR, transcript search or content-wide AI.

If bookmarks are the whole library, Anybox stays cleaner. If bookmarks point into a larger body of work, Resurf keeps more of that work together.

Anybox stores user data in Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. Its privacy policy says the developer does not operate a server for the content and cannot access the library. That is a good architecture for someone who trusts iCloud and wants sync across Apple devices.

Resurf also offers private iCloud sync, but its Mac library begins as ordinary files on the device. You can turn sync off and keep the library device-only. Original assets, Markdown notes and readable metadata remain in the vault whether or not iCloud is enabled.

No Resurf content account is required, and Resurf's servers do not host the capture library. Optional OpenAI features are off by default, use your own key, and send the content needed for the request directly to OpenAI.

Resurf has its own native capture paths. Mac offers global capture and search shortcuts, screenshots, drag and drop, Services, menu bar actions, a URL scheme and a Chrome extension. iPhone and iPad add a share extension, Shortcuts actions, widgets, Control Center actions and voice-recording controls.

Resurf's automation is broad across capture types. Anybox's automation is deeper for links.

Anybox currently lists monthly, yearly and lifetime options. Resurf has a free Mac tier and one-time Mac licenses, and the iPhone and iPad apps are free and unlimited.

The extra cost is easier to justify when you use voice, OCR, document search, mixed media, Ask Your Library and resurfacing. It is harder to justify if all you need is a place for links. Check both live pricing pages before deciding, because promotions and plan terms can change.

The first direct importer should preserve more than URLs. Titles, notes, tags, folders, files and archives all matter. Until that path is available and tested, use Resurf with a small sample or new material before making it the only library.
