Find your way on iPhone

On iPhone and iPad, your library fills the screen, with search at the top and a tab bar at the bottom.

The tab bar

The bar at the bottom holds, from the left:

  • The menu circle, which opens Places. Inside a space it takes that space's colour and icon.
  • Library, Inbox and Later, which switch what the wall shows.
  • +, which opens the capture options.

The Later tab also lists archived captures.

Places

Tap the menu circle to open Places. From the top:

  • A search field for finding spaces, areas and tags by name.
  • Four cards: Everything, Inbox, Starred and Trash.
  • Spaces, with New space and New area, then your spaces grouped under areas. Tap an area's header to fold it. Long-press a space or an area header for its actions.
  • Later and Settings. Settings opens as a sheet; close it with the close button.

On iPad

iPad uses the same layout, with a few differences:

  • The four Places cards sit in one row.
  • The wall shows 3 to 6 columns, depending on the width.
  • Drag files, links or text from another app in Split View to save them.
  • With a hardware keyboard, you can use keyboard shortcuts.
